Erin is a Licensed Counselling Therapist (LCT) and Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC).
With over 20 years experience in the fields of counselling, consulting, leading, training and educating Erin has a strong passion for helping people to find more ease in their life. Having worked over 10 years in alternative education she has a particular interest in supporting youth who feel lost and uncertain about their place in this world. Supporting youth to uncover their strengths and skills and begin to thrive from a place of engagement in their life is work that Erin holds close to her heart.
In addition to working with youth, Erin has a deep desire to help adults increase their sense of awareness, develop self-compassion and feel empowered to live a life that feels meaningful for them. Compassion fatigue, burnout and stress management, anxiety, depression and grief are areas of interest as well as general wellbeing.
Understanding our relationship to how we think, feel and move through this world can be incredibly helpful when searching for ease, comfort and peace in times of pain, confusion and uncertainty.
When not practicing counselling therapy Erin spends time practicing and teaching yoga, hiking, biking, cooking and volunteering in the community at Hospice Fredericton and Meals on Wheels.
Erin's focus is to help individuals gain a better understanding of themselves, to find compassion for their journey and to create a space for growth that nurtures healing and a greater sense of wellbeing.
Erin's approach is humanistic and person-centered. Using an integrative approach exercising skills in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Mindfulness, Erin's scope of practice is wide and adaptable to her client's needs. Front and center of every therapeutic relationship is unconditional positive regard, compassion and non-judgment.
Supporting clients to uncover their strengths, and nourish their innate goodness are primary focal points in guiding the process of growth and self-discovery.
Erin is committed to investing in your growth: to listen, nurture and empower you to cultivate a way of being that feels more in alignment with your true self and over time better than how you felt when you first arrived.
Coming to therapy can feel like a lot of work, and at the same time it can feel comforting to simply unravel in a place of non-judgment. It is a privilege to bear witness to my clients as they take new breaths towards change that brings them to a place of wellbeing, peace and ease.
